Irish Son
Deep in the Irish countryside, a lost runner stumbles upon a remote cafe where he meets a charismatic stranger.
Irish Son is a horror short directed by Tolu Ogunware (Black, Northern Irish and Proud) in his narrative debut short and written by Cameron Tharmaratnam (French Picnic, Where You Really From?). Drawing in inspiration from a blend of Irish and South-Asian mythology, the film follows it’s mixed-race protagonist, The Boy, as a character embodying the desire to a normal life whilst struggling to contain his innermost desires driven by trauma and the basic need to survive.
Coming to festivals around the world in 2025.
